VOI Marsa Sicla Essentia

Location
Wreathed in the unmistakable scents of Mediterranean brush growth, the VOI Marsa Siclà Essentia is just a short distance from the seaside hamlet of Sampieri. A pleasant stroll leads from the small town’s fine seaside promenade to the ruins of “Fornace Penna” at Punta Pisciotto, the “Mannara” that features in the Commissario Montalbano TV series.

Just 22 km from Modica and 40 from Noto and Ragusa, the hotel is a strategic starting point for exploration of the Baroque gems of the Val di Noto.

Hotel
The VOI Marsa Siclà Essentia is a modern structure consisting of a series of small independent villas set in a lush Mediterranean garden. The large garden boasts a 1000 m² with an area for the kids and two lanes for swimming, plus an equipped solarium with sun umbrellas, deck chairs, sun loungers and coffee tables (subject to availability). The resort has recently obtained GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) certification.

Rooms
The Resort’s 150 rooms, set in several separate structures, are comfortable and look out over the garden with private relaxation areas.

All rooms have free wi-fi, hairdryer, independent AC, sat TV, safe, minibar (Refuelling on request, with surcharge - mineral water included for the entire stay). All room types are equipped with a multimedia streaming device, which allows content available on the Internet, mobile phone and PC to be shown on the TV. There will also be a coffee/tea station in all rooms. For those who need it, possibility of working remotely from the room, with dedicated equipment and services.

The room types available are Classic, Superior and Deluxe (Double or Family).

Guests staying in Deluxe double rooms enjoy exclusive VIP services: one sun umbrella and two sun loungers per room reserved in the first row on the beach, minibar with drinks included (first refill), evening turn-down, free beach towel change, beach shopper bag with sun kit.

Beach
The resort is located about 1,400 metres from Sampieri beach, which can be reached by a pleasant walk through the dunes or by the free shuttle service (from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., approximately every 10 minutes). 

Beach umbrellas and sun loungers from the third row onwards are available free of charge for resort guests (subject to availability). Beach towels are available without deposit, upon payment of the eco tax. A shared powerbank station is available for guests on the beach. There is also a nautical base and pedal boats.

Wellness Centre

Almost set between sea and sky, the VOI Thalassospace is a large area dedicated to guests’ wellness, with several seawater pools at varying temperatures and biomarine routes with water jets for massaging all areas of the body. At sunset, possibility to request a dedicated Happy Hour.

This area is accessible with a supplement of € 15,00 per person and is reserved for the use of guests of more than 12 years of age. In the same area, in a reserved zone, there are two gazebos where you can enjoy body treatments and massages in the open air or, alternatively, by the sea (services subject to a charge).

Sport
The resort offers the following activities:

Regenerative activities: outdoor fitness area, jogging trails and body&mind paths.
Sports activities: canoeing, water aerobics, SUP, aerobics, stretching, holistic activities, yoga, Pilates, HIT Fit. The following courts are available: 2 padel courts, 1 synthetic grass tennis court, 1 beach tennis court.

Sports equipment rental for individual use is subject to a fee.

Families
To enliven the vacation of small guests, the multilingual staff of the Kids Club organizes games and sports at the seaside and in the pool, activities, workshops and nature experience with pre-set times, divided by age group (from 3 to 8). 

The babysitting service is available at an extra charge. 

Restaurant
A reference point for guests who choose between the various available options (half board, full board), the central restaurant Il Baglio offers buffet-style lunch and dinner with a reserved table for all meals throughout the stay:

Half Board with beverages: buffet breakfast and lunch or dinner at the restaurant “Il Baglio,” with bottled water and soft drinks during meals, as per the guest’s choice.

Full Board with beverages: buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the restaurant “Il Baglio,” with bottled water and soft drinks during meals. A light lunch can also be reserved at the Beach Bar “Ossi di Seppia” (reservation required).

The water served with meals is microfiltered and bottled. At the table, guests will enjoy the finest Sicilian traditional recipes, irresistible national and international dishes, vegan and light options. Gluten-free dishes are available at breakfast, and organic products are also offered. Each evening, a gourmet dish will be served; once a week, there will be special dinners, including a Gala dinner and a themed dinner.

The Grill and Pizzeria Tamilia (lunch hours: 12:30–14:30) offers grilled meats and fish, salads, poke, and fruit for lunch (reservation required, extra charge); for dinner, delicious wood-fired pizzas and Sicilian craft beers are served (reservation required, included depending on the booked meal plan).

The BeachBar Ossi di Seppia on the resort’s beach, open from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, offers poke menus and lunch snacks, fruit, cold dishes, grilled vegetables, and ice cream outside of regular meals (reservation required, open to external guests). Lunch snacks are included for full board guests; the bar is always pay-as-you-go.

The Pool Bar (open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM) serves breakfast until late and offers snacks, sandwiches, poke, and salads at lunch, with table service and poolside service available (extra charge).

Services & Activities
The price of the stay includes: free access to the common areas (pool, solarium, reading and relaxation rooms…), beach towels (deposit required), unguarded internal parking, sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach (from the third row onwards, subject to availability), with the first row reserved for guests in Deluxe rooms and the second row for VOI+ holders. Sunbeds are also available at the pool until they run out.

Other services include a free shuttle to the beach at scheduled times, luggage transport with porters and electric vehicles upon arrival and departure.

Group-class bar with local bartenders (reservation required). Evening entertainment twice a week, silent cinema under the stars, dedicated spaces for bookcrossing.

Evening entertainment with performances by a cast of artists in the amphitheatre or by the pool. Silent cinema under the stars, with headphones and a choice of audio in several languages, for an alternative evening; live music every evening at the Pool Bar and a DJ set party once a week.

Wi-Fi is available for free in all rooms and common areas.

There is an ATM and a small boutique. The VOIhotels app provides information on the resort's services.

Smart working in the room is available upon request, with dedicated equipment and services: desk, Wi-Fi connection, coffee maker, and packed lunch delivered to the room.

Additional services available with an extra charge: Thalassospace, babysitting, sports equipment rental, excursions, and external medical service.

Check-in is available from 4:00 PM, and check-out is until 10:00 AM. Late check-out until 1:00 PM is only available for guests who choose the SPECIAL VOI+ option.

SPECIAL VOI+ (available with a supplement) includes a range of exclusive privileges to make your stay even more special. These include a VIP courtesy set, one umbrella and two sunbeds reserved in the second row on the beach, and a minibar with included beverages (first refill). There will also be an evening turndown service, the possibility of a late check-out until 1:00 PM, and a beach shopper bag with a travel-size sun care kit for relaxing moments in the sun.

SUPPLEMENTS TO BE PAID ON SITE

Mandatory tourist tax: €3.00 per person per day for guests aged 12 and over, up to a maximum of 7 nights. The tax must be paid at check-in.
